2023 HUTB Summer Camp for Faculty and Staff Children Opens

On the morning of July 10, HUTB held the opening ceremony of the 2023 HUTB Summer Camp for Faculty and Staff Children under the theme of "Innocence and Devotion to the Party, Happy Growth" at the Yingcai Lecture Hall, Library of HUTB. Yang Liangqi, Vice President of HUTB, attended and delivered a speech. Leaders of relevant functional departments and all secondary schools, course teachers, coaches, class advisors, volunteer parents, and all students participated in the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony commenced with the solemn national anthem, and all attendees stood up to sing the national anthem. The on-site singing was loud and the gazes were determined, showcasing the exemplary demeanor of the young generation in the new era.
Vice President Yang Liangqi, in his opening ceremony speech, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of CPC HUTB Committee to the organizers and staff of the summer camp. He emphasized that the inaugural summer camp for faculty and staff children, with the strong support and care from CPC HUTB Committee led by Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory and CAE Academician, was officially launched through the diligent efforts of staff from relevant departments. This camp represents another significant measure taken by the university to provide practical assistance to its faculty and staff, demonstrating the CPC HUTB Committee's concern for the faculty and staff as well as their care for the next generation. He hoped that all the staff members would carry forward their compassion, pass it on, and walk together with love. He also wished that the students would learn, enjoy, and achieve something during this summer camp, and he extended his best wishes for the complete success of this event.
Li Ge, Executive Vice Chairman of the Labour Union, presided over the opening ceremony. Kuang Yumei, CPC Committee Secretary of the School of Sports and Health, read out the guidelines for course teachers and coaches. Yang Jia, Secretary of HUTB Youth League Committee, read out the guidelines for class advisor volunteers. Tang Zhaohui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Art & Design, read out the summer camp student guidelines, emphasizing the relevant code of conduct and safety instructions. Subsequently, Jiang Zhengfu, Deputy Director of HUTB Care-for-Next-Generation Work Committee, announced the commencement of the 2023 HUTB Summer Camp for Faculty and Staff Children under the theme of "Innocence and Devotion to the Party, Happy Growth".
It is reported that this summer camp consists of a total of 6 programs and 12 classes. Among them, there are 4 badminton classes, 2 tennis classes, 2 basketball classes, 2 table tennis classes, 1 athletics (physical fitness) class, and 1 calligraphy class, accommodating a total of 246 students. To ensure the smooth progress of the activities, the university has assembled a teaching and management team consisting of 28 teachers and coaches, as well as 13 class advisor volunteers. In addition, the summer camp has arranged two storytelling sessions and two screenings of classic red-themed movies to enrich the program with diverse content and provide a balance between work and relaxation, while combining education with entertainment.
