Lecturer’s Profile:

Fang Zhong, a former member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and former Vice President of Jiangsu Normal University, is President, Doctor and Professor of Yancheng Teachers University. He is a doctoral supervisor for the major of Chinese modern and contemporary literature. His part-time social jobs include: Vice President of the China World Association for Chinese Literatures, and Director of the Research Association of Modern Chinese Literature. He has long been committed to the teaching and research of modern and contemporary Chinese literature. In recent years, he has presided over 3 key and general projects of the National Social Science Fund of China and 1 major project of the State Language Commission. He has published more than 100 academic papers in Literary Review, Modern Chinese Literature Studiesand other journals, as well as over ten books like A Collection of Elegant and Popular Works, Literature History of Chinese Taiwan in the 20th Century, On Popular Literature in Chinese Taiwan, Biography of Yu Dafu, On Proses in Chinese Taiwan, and Multiculturalism and Contemporary Literature in Chinese Taiwan. He has successively won the first prize of the outstanding achievements in philosophical and social sciences in Jiangsu Province, the special award of teaching achievements in Jiangsu Province, the second prize of teaching achievements at national level, as well as other awards.
