Professor Liu Siwei et al Attend Annual Conference of National Trade and Economic Teaching Association

The 41st Annual Conference of the National Trade and Economic Teaching Association and the Cutting-edge Forum themed at “Domestic and International Economic Circulation” was held at Shanxi University of Finance and Economics from October 23 to 25, 2020. The attendees from HUTB included Senior Professor Liu Siwei, Professor Liu Daobo, Director of the Academic Affairs Division, Associate Professor Yang Shuigen, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Division, Dr. Hou Xiangqun, Head of the Department of Trade and Economics, as well as some postgraduate students.

 


At the conference, Professor Liu Siwei gave a report entitled Reflections on Achieving Higher-Level Dynamic Balance of Supply and Demand under the New Development Pattern. He analyzed the significance, specific requirements and realization approaches for China’s achieving higher-level dynamic balance between supply and demand under the new development pattern. His report was highly praised by the leaders and experts present. Associate Professor Yang Shuigen gave a keynote speech, Exploration and Practice of “Full-Process, Multidimensional, Non-standard” Examination Reform - Taking the Course of Retailing as an Example. He introduced the concepts, measures, and construction thoughts on promoting the teaching reform of Retailing, the core course of HUTB’s first-class major of trade and economics, and an excellent online open course of Hunan. His report was highly praised by the leaders and experts present as well.

 

The National Trade and Economic Teaching Association has held annual conferences for 41 consecutive years. This conference not only serves as an academic exchange meeting following the frontier of the circulation economy, but also a high-level seminar focusing on the teaching of trade economics. This conference not only discussed and studied the frontier theories of business circulation under the new pattern, but also provided teaching practice demonstrations. Combining macroscopic research and microanalysis, this conference was a grand gathering for the frontier research and construction of trade and economics majors HUTB’s trade and economic team displayed the latest teaching and research achievements at the conference. That has not only helped improve the quality of developing trade and economics into first-class majors, but has also further expanded the national influence of HUTB’s majors of trade and economics.
