School of Computer Science & Information Engineering Holds Alumni Scholarship and Grants Award Ceremony and 155th “Lushan Alumni and Entrepreneurs Forum”

On the evening of December 3, the School of Computer Science & Information Engineering holds the Alumni Scholarship and Grants ceremony and 155th “Lushan Alumni and Entrepreneurs Forum” in the Yingcai Lecture Hall, Library of HUTB. This event was attended by Ren Zhi, Deputy Secretary of the Sub-Party Committee Party of the School, He Dian, Vice Dean of the School, the head of the Student Affairs Division, instructors, as well as over 180 teachers and students.

 


At the ceremony, Deputy Secretary Ren Zhi introduced the general information about the School’s Alumni Scholarships and Grants announced their evaluation methods, and unveiled and commended the winners. As a senior alumni representative, Mr. Xie Guanxiong raised ardent expectations for the students present. He called on them to follow the example of outstanding alumni to forge ahead with firm belief, dedication and the willingness to bear responsibilities. He hoped that the students can live up to their ideals and repay the alma mater and society with better results. Peng Jing, a winner of the Alumni Scholarship and Grants, delivered an acceptance speech. She shared her learning and practical experience in HUTB and expressed her gratitude to the teachers and alumni on behalf of all the award winners of the School. At the ceremony, the winners in formal attire walked to the stage together and received the valuable honors from the award-presenting guests’ hands.

 

This ceremony was followed by the “Lushan Alumni and Entrepreneurs Forum”. The speaker was Ms. Zou Chenfan, legal representative and general manager of Hunan Wanjun Capital Management Co., Ltd. and general manager of Linewell Software Group in Hunan. The topic of her lecture was “Being a Humanistic Professional Manager". Basing on her own career experience and life attitude, Ms. Zou Chenfan talked about how to relieve stress, how to keep a positive attitude, the necessity for college students to temper themselves, the various skills in interviews, how to treat others and handle affairs in the workplace, and how to become an excellent leader. She suggested that after graduation, the students can spend three years in steeling themselves before determining their future career development direction.

 

Finally, Vice Dean He Dian summarized this forum. He encouraged the students to be enterprising, diligent and courageous in research, live up to the university's and alumni’s hopes, and strive to become useful talents who can bear personal, family and social responsible.

 

The event rounded off with warm applause. We believe that under the power of role models, the students of School of Computer Science & Information Engineering will forge ahead and strive to become new talents that meet the needs of the times.
