We hope you stay safe and healthy.” This is from a letter the Central South University sent to its Hubei students during the epidemic prevention and control period. This letter has warmed and inspired Hubei students a lot and brought them much confidence. Chen Lei, a student from Xianning, Hubei, said, “This letter made me feel cared and blessed by the school. It made me feel relieved. I find the school has not forgotten me. Instead, it’s deeply concerned with me. I feel so warm.” Hong Zhaochen, another student from Xianning, Hubei, said, “The school is always concerned with us during the special times, which gives us full confidence. We, students of Xiangya College of Central South University in the epidemic areas will not flinch. Dear teachers and class, please rest assured. We will take care of ourselves.” “Warm spring will eventually come. We will return to the campus safely. All those who are concerned with us, we will finally see you again,” Xu Shanmin, a student from Wuhan, Hubei, said firmly.

 

Changsha University of Science and Technology: Recording Heartwarming Video to Cheer on Classmates in Wuhan

Hunan University of Technology and Business: League Members “Pairing up” for Mental Guidance

How is it going with Hubei students? What problems have they met in studying? Do they feel anxious, feared or have any other negative emotions? Concerned with Hubei students’ mental health, HUTB instantly called on outstanding cadres of League members to pair up with Hubei classmates from the same major or department.HUTB encouraged the cadres of League members to communicate with Hubei classmates remotely through WeChat and QQ to learn about their mental status, to relieve there stress, and to guide their learning. Zhu Yiying, a junior student and cadre of the Youth League Committee, paired up with Zhang Yi, a female classmate from Huangshi, Hubei. “I was really surprised when I received Zhu’s WeChat message, and then she called me. Although we were not familiar, I felt very touched when hearing her voice.” They talked for nearly an hour on the phone.
