HUTB Organizes “Safety Education Publicity Month” Activities

To deeply implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech on work safety and important instructions on crackdown on telecom and online fraud crimes and narcotics control, HUTB organized the “Safety Education Publicity Month” activities.
Attaching high importance to safety, HUTB designated June as the “Safety Education Publicity Month”, during which it held a special party committee meeting, and organized teachers and students to watch and study television documentaries such as “Life Is Heavier Than Mount Tai” and “Impassable Red Line” and safety education publicity videos. HUTB requested all the teachers and students to download the National Anti-fraud Center APP and follow the official government WeChat account of the National Anti-fraud Center, and sent safety messages to all the students’ parents. HUTB collected educational materials concerning the prevention of telecom and online fraud, drug-related crimes and campus loans, formulated the Safety Education Knowledge Manual, and distributed it to all the teachers and students. All the secondary units organized teachers and students to participate in the “Prevent Illegal Fund-Raising” national online knowledge quiz competition and the “How Much Do You Know About The New Work Safety Law” national online knowledge competition. All the classes organized the “Prevent Telecom and Online Fraud” class meetings during roll call. Through such activities as “I Am A Safety Whistleblower” and “Find Hazards Around You”, HUTB identified 65 issues and 124 hazards, and fully mobilized the initiative and self-consciousness of teachers and students to participate in safety supervision. In addition, HUTB organized special symposiums such as “Fire Emergency Knowledge Symposium” and “Narcotics Control and Prevention of AIDS Knowledge Symposium”, held a short video contest, and carried out “Counterterrorism and Riot Control”, “Campus Fire Protection”, “Emergency Rescue” and other emergency drill activities. In this process, HUTB ensured all the teachers and students received safety education, and strengthened the campus safety defense.
HUTB conducted both online and offline safety publicity activities in innovative, popular, diversified forms, thereby making campus safety education more scientific, pertinent and effective. Through these activities, HUTB improved its safety education level, helped the teachers and students acquire more knowledge about safety, and thus fostered an atmosphere of “care for work safety, participate in safety development”, and strengthened the consciousness of thought, responsibility and action in campus safety. HUTB also made full efforts to ensure campus safety and stability, and created a safe environment for the success of the upcoming 20th CPC National Congress.
