Academician Chen Xiaohong, Appointed as Chairperson of National Standardization Technical Committee for Electronic Business

Recently, the list of members for the new session of the National Professional Standardization Technical Committee has been successively announced. Professor Chen Xiaohong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, has been invited to serve as the Chairperson of the Third National Standardization Technical Committee for Electronic Business (hereinafter referred to as the Electronic Business Standardization Committee), responsible for overseeing the comprehensive work of the committee.

The National Professional Standardization Technical Committee (SAC) is a non-legal entity technical organization engaged in standardization work within specific professional fields, including the drafting of national standards and technical reviews. It serves as a core force in the development of standardization, playing a vital role in providing technical support and organizational safeguards. The Electronic Business Standardization Committee is primarily responsible for standardization work in professional areas related to the digitization of business operations in administrative, commercial, transportation, and industrial fields. This includes data elements and codes, data structuring techniques, electronic document formats (exchange structures), business processes, data maintenance and management, message services, and key supporting technologies.

Currently, we are in a critical period where the nation is deeply advancing digital transformation and high-quality development. Academician Chen Xiaohong's invitation to serve as the Chairperson of the Electronic Business Standardization Committee reflects her profound expertise and outstanding contributions in related fields such as data science, digital-intelligent decision-making, and electronic business. Particularly, her forward-looking vision and prior achievements in areas such as blockchain technology application standards, artificial intelligence technology application standards, and the integration standards of the Internet of Things and electronic business will help enhance the reputation and comprehensive strength of HUTB and the Xiangjiang Laboratory, further promoting the high-quality development of technological innovation efforts.
