The 5th National Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers, themed "Promoting Teaching Innovation and Cultivating First-Class Talent," closely aligns with the goal of building a strong education system. It deeply advances higher education teaching reform, effectively supports the development of new engineering, new medicine, new agriculture, and new liberal arts courses, comprehensively promotes curriculum ideological and political construction, drives the deepening and solidification of industry-education integration, and meticulously establishes a benchmark for college faculty teaching innovation and exchange. The competition, which launched in March 2025, spanned over five months and included 32 competition zones, covering all undergraduate universities and all academic disciplines. A total of 127,000 teachers participated in the university-level competitions, while 34,000 teachers took part in the provincial-level competitions. Ultimately, 588 courses and 2,253 teachers (including team members) advanced to the on-site national finals. The competition awarded a total of 88 first prizes, 205 second prizes, and 295 third prizes to teachers (teams), along with 21 excellent organization awards. This competition boasts extensive coverage, a large number of participants, and a rich variety of courses, making it a highly significant teaching event with considerable scale and influence in recent years.

During the preparation process, the CPC HUTB Committee attached great importance to the event, while the Undergraduate School and the School of Marxism Studies meticulously organized the efforts. Through the university-level, provincial, and national competitions, the participating teaching team utilized summer breaks and rest periods to invest significant time and effort, overcoming numerous challenges to continuously refine and improve their competition entry. The Undergraduate School meticulously developed a systematic preparation plan, organizing experts from within and outside the province to build the competition team. They conducted multiple training sessions and numerous "one-on-one" guidance sessions to refine the participating teachers' instructional videos, teaching innovation reports, and on-site presentations, laying a solid foundation for our faculty's outstanding achievements.

The university will take this competition as an opportunity to consistently focus on teaching innovation, closely align with the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talent, and fully leverage its role as a weather vane for teaching reform. The university will continue to build platforms for teaching innovation exchange, stimulate teachers' intrinsic motivation to delve into teaching and constantly innovate, accelerate the advancement of educational digitization, lead the transformation of teaching innovation in the classroom, promote changes in student learning methods, foster overall enhancement of educational capacity, and form a favorable momentum for teaching innovation.
