Speaker’s Profile:
Fan Guobin is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, former deputychief engineer of the China Academy of Engineering Physics, researcher, doctoral supervisor, head of the national expert group for major high-tech tasks, chief designer of high-energy laser system, executive director of the Chinese Optical Society. He is granted with the special government allowanceof theState Council of China. He was appointed honorary dean of the School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing of HUTB in July 2021.
As the head, he has undertaken the research, organization and management work of a number of national-themed and major scientific research projects, and has achieved many world-leading innovation results in a variety of fields, which has promoted and led the development of high technologies of China's national defense. He has published more than 40 papers in international and domestic core journals. He has won two first prizes, two second prizes and tow third prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, four military first prizes, and 15 invention patents authorized by China. He has won the Qiu Shi Outstanding Engineering Award of the China Association for Science and Technology, the "Outstanding Contribution" Award of National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), the "Significant Contribution Award of High-tech Equipment Construction," and the "Zhou Guangzhao Technological Innovation Award."
