Speaker’s Profile:
He Keng, male, renowned statistical educator and econometrician, pioneer of China's econometrics, professor, doctoral supervisor, vice president and chief economist of China Innovation Thinktank, president of China City Scientific Development Assiciation.
He was a member of the 9th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Standing Committee of the 10th and 11th National People’s Congress (NPC), deputy director of the NPC Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, deputy director of the National Bureau of Statistics, and vice chairman of the 12th Central Committee of the Jiusan Society. He was a member of the Expert Advisory Committee of National Philosophy and Social Science Research, and head of the statistical discipline group of the Leading Group of National Philosophy and Social Science Planning. He also served as president of the Statistical Education Society of China, vice president of National Statistical Society of China, executive director of Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics, China Information Economics Society and China Society of Urban Economy, director of National Statistics Teaching Materials Editing and Review Committee, deputy director of National Statistical Science Academic Committee, a member of the Expert Committee of Cyberspace Administration of China, director of the editorial board of Statistical Research, dean of National Statistical Cadre Training Institute.
Professor He Keng is the proposer and advocate of China's great statistics thought. He is the author of more than 10 publications, including Principles and Applications of Econometrics, and the initiator of Statistical Education Society of China and Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics.
