Speaker’s Profile:
Guo Kesha, Ph.D. in Economics, currently the Dean of School of Economics and Finance, Dean, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Institute of Economic Development and Reform of Huaqiao University, and Director of Economic Policy Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; graduated from the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 1992 with a doctorate in economics; a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago from 1998 to 1999; presided over more than 10 major projects, special entrusted projects, key projects and emergency projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China; published more than 400 articles in the Social Sciences in China, Economic Research, Management World, Qiushi, People's Daily, Guangming Daily and Xinhua Digest (reprinted), and published 15 books as the author and co-author; won the Sun Yefang Economic Science Award for Works (1994) and Thesis (2002), and more than 10 awards for outstanding scientific research achievements at or above the provincial and ministerial levels; rated as the young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the expert receiving special government allowance of the State Council in 1996, rated as the first and second-level outstanding talents of “Ten Million Talent Project” by the State Ministry of Personnel in 1999; presently also serving as the evaluation expert for the projects of National Social Science Fund of China and National Natural Science Fund of China, and member of the Evaluation Committee of Sun Yefang Economic Science Award Fund
