First National Advanced Faculty Training Workshop on Cross-border E-commerce Digital Operations Held at HUTB

Recently, a faculty training workshop focusing on enhancing the teaching capabilities of faculty in cross-border e-commerce digital operations under the background of artificial intelligence was held at Conference Room E104 of the Lezhi Building in the university. This workshop was jointly organized by the National Industry-Education Integration Community of Digital Economy and Modern Service Industry, the Cross-border E-commerce Education Development Alliance, and the Talent Special Committee of Hunan Cross-border E-commerce Association, and co-hosted by the School of Economy & Trade of HUTB (Cross-border E-commerce Industry College).

At the opening ceremony, Yang Shuigen, the Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Economy & Trade, introduced the recent development achievements of the university and the school and expressed the hope for further cooperation and communication among various universities in the training of talents in cross-border e-commerce. Ms. Yu Fang, Secretary General of the Hunan Cross-border E-commerce Association, and Mr. Zuo Jiji, President of Dysoft Education Institute, attended the event and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Lu Chuansheng, a well-known expert in the field of cross-border e-commerce in China, Hou Xiangqun, Vice Dean of the School of Economy & Trade, Professor Liang Xiangdong, the head of the International Economics and Trade program at Changsha University of Science and Technology (CSUST), and Mr. Wang Xi, General Manager of Changsha Lingyi Education Technology Co., Ltd., which is the internship base for the school.

During the training, the expert instructors comprehensively elaborated on the core curriculum design concepts, teaching standards, and teaching methods and tools for cross-border e-commerce, focusing on third-party mainstream platforms in cross-border e-commerce, live streaming for cross-border e-commerce, independent websites, and overseas social media promotion, as well as data analysis and operations. Professor Luo Shuanglin, Executive Dean of the Cross-border E-commerce Industry College, shared the experience of talent cultivation in cross-border e-commerce at the university. The "six-in-one" approach to cultivating talents in cross-border e-commerce, along with practical experiences, received positive feedback from the teachers. Dr. Li Mi gave a demonstration class on "Cross-border E-commerce Operation Management", introducing innovative ideas and practical projects in cross-border e-commerce education. The teachers expressed that they greatly benefited from the session.

Under the guidance of the China Association of International Trade (CAIT), the training workshop focused on deepening the industry-education-research integration, with a particular emphasis on the innovation in professional education and talent cultivation, curriculum development, and university-enterprise cooperation in cross-border e-commerce under the background of artificial intelligence in the digital economy era. The workshop also provided more than 80 university and college teachers from all over the country with a comprehensive, immersive, and hands-on learning experience, enhancing their forward-thinking and practical capabilities, and laying a solid foundation for the cultivation of professional talents in cross-border e-commerce to meet future market demands.
