[Science and Technology Daily] Xiangjiang Laboratory Releases 10 Technological Innovation Achievements

2025-01-13

On January 11, the Xiangjiang Laboratory product launch and the "Four-in-One Computation" (computing data, algorithms, computing power, and computing network) high-end forum were held in Changsha, Hunan Province. During the event, the Xiangjiang Laboratory released ten technological innovation achievements. Xiangjiang Laboratory, together with 14 other organizations including the Public Security Department of Hunan Province, Hunan Radio and Television Group Co., Ltd., Unitree Robotics, and Furong Laboratory, held a ceremony for the second batch of member organizations to jointly build the "Four-in-One Computation" Industrial Alliance.

Chen Xiaohong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, introduced that in the two years since its establishment, Xiangjiang Laboratory has developed an overall framework for construction program called "1456": one laboratory headquarters, four innovation centers for computing data, algorithms, computing power, and computing network, five main research directions including multimodal information processing, intelligent computing, intelligent computing acceleration, computing-network brain, and digital intelligence systems and applications, and six application demonstrations in smart manufacturing, resource energy environment, smart transportation, smart healthcare, smart society, and digital media. The laboratory has explored and established a collaborative construction model of "1 headquarters + 7 co-constructed universities + 56 'Four-in-One Computation' Industrial Alliance enterprises." It has created a technological innovation system comprising "24 innovation institutes + 22 research and development centers + 46 academician and expert PI teams," along with a cooperation mechanism led by academicians, supported by government funds, and involving well-known enterprises. Furthermore, it has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Xiangjiang Intelligent Computing (Hunan) High Tech Development Co., Ltd., to facilitate the transformation and industrialization of the laboratory's scientific and technological achievements.

At the meeting, Xiangjiang Laboratory launched ten latest technological innovations, including the "Xuanyuan" AI pre-trained models (cultural creation, intelligent manufacturing, pathology), the "Xiangjiang Huitong" high-fidelity urban traffic 3D modeling suite, the "Xiangjiang Xinyuan" fully automated stem cell intelligent preparation system, the "Xiangjiang Zhiban" embodied intelligent home service robot, the "Xiangjiang Tiansu" next-generation intelligent computing acceleration engine, the "Xiangjiang Yihang" low-altitude intelligent unmanned hive platform, the "Xiangjiang Lingzhi" Lingzhi-AI edge intelligence box, the "Xiangjiang Lvneng" green park smart energy comprehensive management and control platform, the "Xiangjiang Zhijian" industrial site abnormal signal detection and positioning system, and the "Xiangjiang Zhiyou" smart Vlog for cultural tourism scenic spots.

It is learned that, among the aforementioned achievements, the "Xuanyuan" cultural creation model provides an AI algorithm capabilities service module for audio and video services, as well as an interactive platform for holographic media creation. It effectively enhances the production efficiency, quality, and management level of high-definition audio and video content. The "Xiangjiang Zhiban" embodied intelligent home service robot addresses technical bottlenecks in areas such as "scene understanding, large model task planning, and multimodal continuous learning." It has been successfully applied in the home service sector, reaching a leading domestic level. The "Xiangjiang Yihang" low-altitude intelligent unmanned hive platform has overcome technical challenges in multi-drone leapfrogging, drone tethering, and high-speed image and data transmission. It enables collaborative operation management of multiple drones in complex tasks, and has been successfully applied in fields such as public security, border control, power inspection, and precision mapping.

In addition, the unveiling ceremonies for the School of New Energy and New Materials and the School of Intelligent Biological Engineering at HUTB were held, along with the "Four-in-One Computation"  high-end forum. Song Junqiang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher at the College of Meteorology and Oceanography, National University of Defense Technology, Professor Dou Qiang, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Committee of China Electronics Corporation and Chief Scientist at Phytium Technology Co., Ltd., Liu Xinmin, Senior Vice President of H3C Group, Wang Qizhou, R&D Director at Unitree Robotics, Zhong Jiangwei, Senior Director of R&D at Lenovo Group, and Wu Hong, General Manager of the Product Technology Center at Hunan Mango Rongchuang Technology Co., Ltd., each delivered keynote speeches.
