HUTB’s Teacher Receives 2024 "Hunan Model Teacher and Educator" Nomination Award

To promote and celebrate the 40th Teacher's Day, and to vigorously advocate the spirit of educators while inspiring teachers and education workers to actively contribute to building a strong education province, the selection activity for the 2024 "Hunan Model Teacher and Educator” has recently begun. Professor Nie Zhi from our School of Marxism Studies has received the "Hunan Model Teacher and Educator" nomination award.

Nie Zhi, male, Han nationality, born in July 1980, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He is the dean and a professor at the School of Marxism Studies at HUTB. With 22 years of experience in ideological and political education, he founded a red culture education brand. His MOOC "Approaching Hunan Heroes of the Anti-Japanese War" has reached 23,000 students across 183 universities nationwide, and the videos promoting the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress have been viewed over 3 million times. He has received seven first prizes or higher in provincial teaching competitions and leads the Hunan Furong Talents Action Plan "Master Teacher Studio" for ideological and political education. He has also hosted and completed several National Social Science Fund projects, with think tank reports published in Qiushi Neican. He is a core member of the "National Huang Danian-style Faculty Team" and has been awarded honors such as "National Young Talent in Propaganda, Ideology, and Culture," "National Ideological and Political Course Teaching Expert," and "Excellent Ideological and Political Course Teacher in Hunan Province."
