HUTB Badminton Team Achieves Good Results in the 2023 Hunan Province University Students Badminton Competition

Recently, the 2023 Hunan Province University Students Badminton Competition, sponsored by the Department of Education of Hunan Province and hosted by the People's Government of Linli County, came to an end in Changde. Nearly 400 athletes from 61 universities across the province, including the National University of Defense Technology, Central South University, Hunan University, and Hunan Normal University, competed fiercely over a 9-day schedule. HUTB badminton team won the bronze medal in the women's team competition of the university group A.

In this competition, the HUTB delegation was led by Li Zhiwei, Vice Dean of the School of Sports and Health, with coaches Yi Zhenglan and Li Xuan, and a team of 9 athletes including Liu Danni and Li Leran. The team members fought bravely in the competition and achieved excellent results.

HUTB women's badminton team performed well, winning 2:1 against Hunan University and 2:0 against Hunan Normal University in the group stage. They advanced to the top four as the group winner, but unfortunately lost to Xiangtan University in the semifinals. In the bronze medal match, the HUTB badminton team once again faced Hunan Normal University. With a victory in doubles and singles, they finally secured this precious bronze medal.

This competition fully demonstrated the sportsmanship of the HUTB badminton team, who are brave and determined, as well as their positive and uplifting spirit.
