On June 22nd, the final round of the 8th National Collegiate Intelligent Auditing Skills Competition (Undergraduate Category) took place in Nanjing. A record 192 university teams from across the country participated in the competition, with 40 teams advancing to the final round. Despite fierce competition, our team secured the national second prize in the final. Instructors Liu Jin and Shui Huili from the School of Accountancy were recognized with the “Outstanding Instructor” accolade.

The objective of the competition is to advance intelligent auditing education at the university level, enhancing practical skills and cultivating creativity among high-caliber auditing professionals. The competition served to demonstrate our remarkable achievements in cultivating talent in intelligent auditing, while also showcasing the exceptional professionalism and practical skills of our School of Accountancy students. Following the competition, all students concurred that academic contests significantly enhance their understanding of auditing theories and methodologies, expand their perspectives on big data and intelligent auditing, and reinforce their professional expertise, practical abilities, and collaborative and innovative mindset.

In recent years, our university has placed a premium on integrating AI into its educational framework, actively establishing innovative platforms that align classroom learning with real-world needs. We are committed to exploring and implementing talent development models such as “major + minor” and “minor + micro-major”, and have achieved notable success in talent development. The School of Accountancy is committed to capitalizing on its national-level excellence in accounting, financial management, and auditing to advance the development of micro-majors such as “intelligent finance and accounting” and “carbon asset management”, as well as the development of the “digital and intelligent auditing” discipline. We provide guidance and instructions to students participating in high-level academic contests, with the objective of promoting education through competitions and leveraging competitions to foster innovation and learning. Also, by reinforcing ideological and political education within our curriculum, we are fulfilling our fundamental mission of nurturing individuals with integrity, striving to cultivate a new generation of top-notch financial and auditing professionals who are well-equipped to meet the demands of the digital era.
