To promote high-quality and full employment for our graduates, effectively build an exchange platform between graduates and employers, actively provide companies with fresh talent and outstanding individuals, and achieve a precise match between talent cultivation and social demand, HUTB hosted a large-scale autumn supply and demand meeting for 2025 graduates on the afternoon of November 8. The event took place at the Feiyue Track and Field Stadium on the south campus.
The CPC HUTB Committee attaches great importance to employment and entrepreneurship. Recently, Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, made work requirements and arrangements for further promoting high-quality and full employment for graduates. Secretary Chen Xiaohong visited the site of the supply and demand meeting to provide guidance, extended greetings to the company representatives in attendance, learned about their employment needs, and had friendly conversations with the students seeking jobs. Vice President Yang Liangqi accompanied the visit.
The university carefully planned and actively organized this supply and demand meeting, setting up four main areas: the Recruitment Zone, Empowerment Zone, Exhibition Zone, and Service Zone. Through approaches such as promoting employment through positions, encouraging employment through education, fostering employment through competitions, and supporting employment through entrepreneurship, the university comprehensively facilitated both employment and entrepreneurship. The job fair invited nearly 400 companies, including state-owned enterprises, Fortune Global 500 companies, China’s top 500 companies, listed companies, "specialized, high-end and innovation-driven" enterprises, and higher education institutions, such as H3C, Hunan Salt Industry Group Co., Hunan No.5 Engineering Co., Ltd., Dahan Holding Group Co., Ltd., Wondershare Technology, Explosives Corporation Limited, TRS, and Sinopharm Group. These companies offered over 15,000 high-quality job positions. The job openings covered more than 20 industries, including manufacturing, information transmission, software and information technology services, scientific research and technical services, education, finance, construction, transportation, and more. This fully met the employment needs of graduates from various academic backgrounds at HUTB.
The atmosphere at the supply and demand meeting was lively and bustling, with a large crowd and orderly proceedings, resembling a grand event where talent and opportunities passionately collided. The graduates, holding their carefully prepared resumes, moved between various recruitment booths, actively engaging with company representatives. They inquired in detail about job responsibilities, skill requirements, career advancement opportunities, salary packages, and other relevant information, while also showcasing their academic achievements, professional skills, practical experience, and overall qualities to the employers. The university also provided a range of specialized services on-site for graduates, including AI resume assistance, resume diagnostics, resume printing, policy consultations, innovation exhibitions, military enlistment information, image design, campus cultural and creative products, and free tea beverages. These services were designed to support graduates in their job search and applications, while also actively promoting employment and entrepreneurship education for college students.
The students participating in the job fair all praised the university's thoughtful services. A graduate surnamed Mei from the School of Digital Media Engineering and Humanities, said, "The scale of this job fair, the high quality and large number of employers, clearly show how much the university cares about our career development after graduation." A junior surnamed Deng from the School of Business Administration, also attended the event.
