The "FLTRP-Guocai Cup" "Understanding Contemporary China" Understanding Contemporary China National College Students' Foreign Language Proficiency Competition is an A-level foreign language competition recognized by the Ministry of Education. It is currently the largest and most widely recognized national foreign language competition with the highest student participation and social recognition. The competition includes four events: Comprehensive Ability (which covers reading, writing, translation, and speaking), Interpretation, Translation, and Short Video. After a thorough selection process, preliminary and semi-final rounds, and nearly a year of targeted training, the contestants' overall English proficiency was greatly improved. Our university's contestants achieved excellent results in this competition, fully demonstrating the rapid and steady improvement in talent cultivation under the strong leadership and strategic planning of the CPC HUTB Committee. It also highlighted the remarkable achievements in foreign language talent development under the careful guidance of both the Undergraduate School and the Graduate School.
HUTB will continue to uphold the philosophy of "Connecting the World through Language," striving to cultivate more high-quality foreign language talents with an international perspective and cross-cultural communication skills. The university is dedicated to making greater contributions to the country's opening-up and cultural exchange initiatives. (Reported by Yang Yongfei from the School of Foreign Languages)
