HUTB Holds "Music in HUTB" Outdoor Concert

On the evening of November 8, the "Music in HUTB" outdoor concert under HUTB’s “Integrated Development of Culture and Technology” Themed Education Season, was brilliantly held at the Qizhi Square of Xiangjiang Building. Faculty and students of the university enjoyed this concert together, which blended traditional and modern cultural elements and was filled with youthful and lively energy. The event was jointly organized by the CPC Committee Publicity Department, the HUTB Youth League Committee, and the School of Music. Xiao Ming, Dean of the School of Music and a national first-class conductor, served as the music director. Young conductor Zhang Zongrui was the conductor. The student orchestra of the School of Music, the college student art troupe, and faculty and students enthusiastically participated in the performance.

The concert was divided into three sections: Film and TV Music, Dance Music, and Pop Music. The event officially kicked off with the passionate and energetic melody of "Pirates of the Caribbean." The solemn and majestic melody of "Immortal Sound Above Cloud Palace" evoked images of the hardships and romance of the Tang Monk and his disciples on their journey to the Western Paradise, allowing the audience to feel the unwavering spirit of determination. The lively and playful melody of "Doraemon" was charming and full of childlike innocence, with a strong artistic appeal. The atmosphere at the scene was vibrant, fully showcasing everyone's yearning and longing for a beautiful life. The high-pitched section of "Heaven in My Heart" was penetrating and passionate, while the low-pitched part was tender and profound, perfectly conveying the protagonist's deep longing and emotions.

"Youth Dance" features a tight, energetic rhythm, full of youthful vitality and vigor. Its lively and flowing beats convey a love for life and a hopeful vision for the future. The "Waltz II" begins with the saxophone playing the main theme, and as it develops, it introduces a lively vitality, showcasing a complex and subtle range of emotions. "Close to You" features a relaxed and soothing melody, with a moderate tempo that conveys a deep, lingering love and a warm, intimate feeling. "Lady General Mu Takes Command: Holding the Imperial Seal" uses the techniques of Peking opera to not only reenact historical events but also to celebrate the heroic spirit and patriotic ideals of the Yang family generals. "Poker Face" cleverly blends the trends of pop music, the elegance of classical music, and the novelty and mystique of electronic music. Its strong sense of rhythm and high-frequency beats refresh the listeners, leaving them captivated.

"Rolling in the Deep" features a powerful rhythm and an intense melody, with each pulsating note perfectly capturing the complex emotions of love and hate, leaving a deep emotional impact on the audience. "Handclap" has a lively and powerful melody, like a beating heart, outlining an intoxicating musical rhythm that expresses a love for life and a sense of gratitude. "Devotion" features a beautiful and touching melody, rich in lyrical quality, with a strong ethnic style and a sense of the times. It evokes a powerful sense of national pride and patriotism in the hearts of the listeners. "Princess" is emotionally sincere and moving, with a powerful and resonant rhythm that delivers a strong auditory impact to the listeners. It expresses the protagonist's unwavering belief in love and relentless pursuit of it. "Seven Miles of Fragrance" features a beautiful melody and poetic lyrics that captivate the listener, evoking strong emotional resonance and inspiring the audience to join in singing the enchanting tune. "I Love You, China" has a melodic and graceful style, expressing deep affection for the motherland and sincere wishes for the nation's prosperity and development. The scene was illuminated with sparkling lights, and the dance moved in harmony with the music, creating a passionate and moving atmosphere.

As the night slowly fell, the outdoor concert came to a successful conclusion amidst the warm applause and reluctant farewells of the audience. Under the dazzling lights, the artists built a bridge with music, enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the university's faculty and students, and adding a brilliant stroke to the construction of "Artistic HUTB."
