HUTB Conducts Fire Safety Awareness Activities

2024-11-28

November 9, 2024, is the 33rd National Firefighting Day. HUTB carried out a fire safety awareness campaign themed "Fire Safety for All, Life First." The university invited Yu Jianhua, an instructor from Hunan Xiecheng Fire Safety Service Co., Ltd., to conduct multiple fire safety training sessions and firefighting drills for the freshmen of 2024 on the north campus.

During the fire safety training sessions, Instructor Yu Jianhua reported several recent fire incidents in universities as warning cases. He provided detailed explanations of the characteristics of campus fires, how to use firefighting equipment, and how to prevent fires on campus. The sessions equipped students with the skills to handle initial fire hazards and taught them how to escape and save themselves in the event of a fire. During the firefighting drill, students, under the guidance of the instructor, took turns using fire extinguishers to put out the raging flames, demonstrating the results of their learning and practice.

During the Fire Safety Month campaign, HUTB carried out a variety of fire safety knowledge promotion activities across both the north and south campuses, including special seminars, the "First Lesson of Fire Safety," screening of fire safety warning education films, a fire safety signature wall, promotional banners, and exhibition panels. These activities helped create a strong atmosphere of attention to fire safety throughout the entire university.
