On November 1, the 2025 Hunan Provincial College Track and Field Competition, organized by the Department of Education of Hunan Province, concluded successfully. The event attracted over 1,180 athletes from 96 universities across the province, including Central South University and Hunan University. HUTB's track and field team delivered an excellent performance, securing 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal, while also earning 8th place in the overall team standings for the men's university division.

Tan Jiawei claimed the title of "double champion" by winning gold in both the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 14.43 seconds and the 400m hurdles with 54.78 seconds, demonstrating exceptional hurdling technique and rhythm control. Fan Ziang achieved sixth place in both the long jump and triple jump events. Duan Yanhao finished seventh in the 400m hurdles. Chen Jia placed eighth in the 100m final and played a key role as the anchor leg runner in both relay events. Across hurdling, sprinting, jumping, and relay events, the athletes demonstrated solid foundational skills, strong physical conditioning, and close teamwork, fully embodying the training philosophy of "integrating technique and physical fitness" and reflecting the sporting spirit of HUTB.
In recent years, the CPC HUTB Committee has placed great emphasis on the "Sports HUTB" initiative, continuously increasing support for sports programs and providing strong backing for team training and competition. The results achieved in this competition reflect the outcomes of the university's sports education and demonstrate the track and field team's tradition of scientific training and determined effort. The team will continue to optimize its training system, strengthen team development, and strive for further achievements and greater honors.
