HUTB Teachers and Students Invited to Participate in Inaugural Session of "China-Africa Economic and Trade Series" under Luban Workshop Lecture

On November 7, the inaugural public salon of the "China-Africa Economic and Trade Series," part of the Luban Workshop Lecture, was held at the Hunan China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion and Innovation Demonstration Park. The event was organized by the Hunan China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council, and co-hosted by Hunan Huidafeng International Trade Co., Ltd. and Nigeria China-Africa International. Professor Zhang Ling, Vice President of HUTB, was invited to lead a delegation to the event, which included faculty from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, international students studying in China, and Chinese student volunteers.

Peng Zheng, Executive President of the Hunan China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council, delivered an opening speech. Following this, George Collins Onwuekwe, Consul General of Nigeria in Guangzhou, and other speakers shared insights on Nigeria's current development status and investment environment from perspectives such as "African Consuls Talk About Africa" and "Africans Talk About Africa."
During the "Scholar's Perspective" segment, Vice President Zhang Ling delivered a thematic speech titled "Opportunities and Challenges in China-Africa Cooperation." She provided an in-depth analysis of the major opportunities and practical challenges in current China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. Leveraging the disciplinary strengths of HUTB, she proposed constructive ideas for promoting practical collaboration between the two sides.
The on-site exchange session was characterized by a lively atmosphere, with in-depth interactions taking place between the Chinese and African participants.
From hosting to simultaneous interpretation, and from on-site reception to conference services, students from our university were actively involved in every aspect of the event. With their professional competence, fluent language skills, and enthusiastic service, they ensured the smooth progress of the activities, earning high praise from the organizers and participants. This fully demonstrated the remarkable results of our university's efforts in cultivating international talent.
