HUTB Conducts Safety Skills Training Series for Grassroots Service Teams

2025-11-05

Recently, the CPC Committee Student Affairs Department organized a series of safety skills training sessions for all grassroots service staff at the South Campus, North Campus, and Moon Island Campus. The initiative aimed to effectively enhance the safety assurance capabilities of student apartments and improve the safety awareness and emergency response skills of various grassroots service teams.

Building a "Tangible" Line of Defense: In-Depth Fire Safety Training System

The university has arranged systematic professional skills and fire safety training for frontline property management personnel. On one hand, the training closely aligns with daily work requirements, clarifying key points of job specifications. On the other hand, it focused on the types of fire extinguishers, their usage methods, and precautions, combining theoretical explanations with hands-on practice to ensure calm and effective response in emergencies.

Addressing "Intangible" Risks: Psychological Crisis Identification and Intervention Training Advances Simultaneously

On October 17, a training session titled "Identification and Intervention of Psychological Crisis Information" was held at the South Campus, attended by building managers of the apartment center, as well as property and security staff. Bai Lei, a teacher from the Psychological Education Center, served as the keynote speaker. Based on the practical context of student apartment work, she systematically explained the identification of psychological crisis signals, effective communication and care techniques, and the procedures for information reporting and intervention. The training provided "psychological strength" for building a healthy and harmonious student apartment environment.

Enhancing Practical Response Capabilities: Emergency Evacuation Drill Efficiently Organized

To comprehensively enhance the fire safety awareness and emergency self-rescue skills of new students, and translate safety knowledge into practical capabilities, the CPC Committee Student Affairs Department and the CPC Committee Security Department jointly organized a fire safety training and high-rise apartment evacuation drill for the 2025 freshman cohort. Fire instructors, drawing on real university fire cases, systematically explained three core knowledge areas: selecting high-rise escape routes, using firefighting equipment, and handling initial fire emergencies. The drill simulated a fire emergency in a high-rise student apartment. Upon the alarm sounding, all freshmen, guided by staff and counselors, evacuated quickly and orderly along predetermined routes to safe areas, demonstrating tight organization and efficient response throughout the process.

The CPC Committee Student Affairs Department and the CPC Committee Security Department will continue to promote the normalization and systematization of safety training, gradually conduct training for apartment leaders and student safety publicity officers, and carry out emergency evacuation drills in student apartments across all campuses, to ensure that safety education and management cover every apartment and strengthen the campus safety defense line.
