Professor from Stockholm University Holds Academic Salon for Students

Recently, a unique academic lecture and cultural exchange event was held at our university's Creative Workshop. The event was organized by the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. Undergraduate and graduate students presented academic reports, and Professor Henrik Hansson from Stockholm University delivered an academic lecture, providing specialized comments on each student's presentation. Zhang Ling, Vice President of HUTB, attended the event.

Student representatives from the School of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing (Xiangjiang College), the School of Microelectronics and Physics, the School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing, the School of Digital Media Engineering and Humanities, and the School of Foreign Languages presented reports covering various topics, including artificial intelligence and advanced computing, urban logistics system modeling and optimization, system identification and fault diagnosis, short video exploration, and the UNESCO Capacity Building Workshop on Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) for Youth. Professor Henrik Hansson provided individual feedback, emphasizing the significant impact of artificial intelligence technology on our lives and modes of production. He guided students to pay attention to privacy and ethical issues associated with it, while encouraging them to harness the positive aspects of technology. He also highlighted the importance of the logistics industry in sustainable development and encouraged students to consider environmental factors in their research, actively exploring and contributing to the construction of a green logistics system. Furthermore, he highly praised the social and cultural value of intangible cultural heritage, encouraging students to continue their focus on and promotion of intangible cultural heritage protection efforts.

Finally, Vice President Zhang Ling made a concluding speech. She praised the excellent research results and practical abilities of the students in various fields and hoped that everyone would continue to maintain their passion and focus on academic research, targeting cutting-edge issues and conducting interdisciplinary research. She emphasized that universities are important places for talent cultivation and academic research. In the future, the university will further introduce high-quality foreign educational resources to help students develop an international perspective and enhance their research capabilities.
