Hunan Daily, February 4 (All Media Journalist Yu Rong, Correspondent Xie Xiaoming) - The HUTB "Return to Hunan" Communication Meeting under the theme of "Concentrate Efforts, Co-create the Future" was successfully held in Changsha recently. Over 300 participants attended the meeting, including alumni association leaders and alumni entrepreneurs from regions such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Pearl River Delta, and Yangtze River Delta, as well as directors of the Changsha Alumni Association and representatives from relevant units.

In recent years, HUTB has attached great importance to alumni work, actively responded to the call of the Hunan Provincial CPC Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province, mobilized the alumni forces, and contributed to the high-quality development of Hunan. In the past five years, the university's alumni have signed nearly 20 projects in Hunan, with an investment of nearly RMB 1.4 billion.

At the meeting, Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and CAE Academician, warmly greeted the alumni, briefed them on the university's construction and development, and mobilized them for the "Return to Hunan" initiative. She mentioned that over the years, the alumni of HUTB have made significant contributions in their respective fields, showcasing the most outstanding achievements of the university's students. The alma mater will always be the warmest harbor for everyone, and the hometown will always be the strongest support. Currently, the Hunan Provincial CPC Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province are sparing no effort to promote the "Return to Hunan" initiative, hoping that local alumni will fully leverage their "home field" advantage, actively connect, integrate, and promote the development of Hunan, and make every effort to attract alumni from other places to "come back" and "stay," encouraging more alumni talents to stay in, return to, and come to Hunan. This initiative aims to facilitate the landing and growth of good projects and major projects in Hunan, actively serving the economic and social development of Hunan.

Huang Xingyao, President of the Changsha Alumni Association of HUTB, expressed the commitment to unite in serving the alma mater and alumni, support the construction and development of the university, and fully support the university in promoting the "Return to Hunan" initiative. Tan Xiancai, Chairman of the Alumni Entrepreneur Association, expressed deep gratitude to the university for nurturing entrepreneurs, and a strong attachment to his hometown. He mentioned that he will rely on the platform of the Alumni Entrepreneur Association to gather more outstanding alumni entrepreneurs, integrate talents, projects, enterprises, technology, and education deeply into the high-quality development of their hometown. This effort aims to enhance the reputation of the alma mater and contribute to the development of Hunan.
