2024-09-19
Recently, each school has organized safety-themed education for the Fall semester 2024, focusing on "Daily Safety," "Personal and Property Safety," and "Cyber and Information Security."
The thematic education focuses on three main areas: "Daily Safety," "Personal and Property Safety," and "Cyber and Information Security." Through the screening of a series of safety education videos, combined with numerous real-life cases, the education covers eight key aspects: fire safety, traffic safety, food safety, personal safety, property safety, prevention of telecom fraud, cybersecurity, and personal information security. The goal is to guide students in developing a correct safety mindset, enhancing their awareness of safety, actively addressing various security issues, and improving their ability to respond to and prevent potential risks.
This event features a clear theme, rich content, and a variety of formats. Wen Chao, a student from the Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies stated: "Safety education is closely related to each of us. We should all earnestly implement the theme of safety education." Guo Yuxuan, a student from the School of Microelectronics and Physics said: "I will share the vivid cases mentioned in the class meeting with my family and friends, so that while protecting myself, I can also protect them." Hu Huiling, a student from the School of Mathematics & Statistics remarked: "Safety education is not just a course; it conveys an idea, a philosophy of cherishing life, and helps us develop a mindset of constant vigilance."
In the future, the university will continue to strengthen campus safety management and the promotion of safety knowledge education. It will provide first aid training for all 2024 freshmen, and organize the "Smart Safety, Worry-free" Quiz Competition for all students. These efforts aim to create a safe, harmonious, and stable campus environment for all faculty and students, ensuring a strong foundation for the high-quality development of the university’s various undertakings.
