School of Computer Science & Information Engineering Holds Mid-Autumn Symposium

It is the golden harvest season when the mid-autumn comes. During the mid-autumn festival, the School of Computer Science & Information Engineering held a symposium with students. On behalf of the school, Party Secretary-General Yu Shaoqian and Vice Party Secretary-General Ren Zhi greeted and blessed the representatives of undergraduates and postgraduate students. Leaders of the Student Affairs Office and instructors also attended the symposium.

At the symposium, Vice Party Secretary-General Ren Zhi asked the students how their recent study and life are going on; the students raised suggestions on laboratory equipment, publicity on employment and postgraduate entrance exams, selection of student cadres, application for Party membership, and cultivation of academic atmosphere. Mr. Ren said that he will promptly report the students’ concerns to relevant departments and try to resolve them as soon as possible.

Mr. Yu made a concluding remark and expressed his ardent expectations for the students. He hoped that the students can have a better future just as the university does, andthat the students can discipline themselves and develop healthy mind and body. In terms of academic performance, Mr. Yu urged that the students should cultivate certain technical expertise; in terms of future work, Mr. Yu stressed that the students should endure hardships and embrace a bright future with a robust, healthy, and strong mentality.

After the symposium, the school distributed the students moon cakes and other small gifts which carry goodwill. This activity has made the students staying far away from home feel less lonely, enhanced their relationship with teachers, and allowed the students to enjoy care and love from the school.
