HUTB Postgraduate Entrepreneurship Project Receives Million-Yuan Investment from Hunan Provincial University Student Venture Capital Fund

Recently, good news came again from the university's innovation and entrepreneurship work: Changsha Shufan Technology Co., Ltd., founded by postgraduates Li Zhuhao and Luo Jinxuan and supervised by Mao Xingliang from the School of Digital Media Engineering and Humanities and the Institute of Cyberspace Information Security, has successfully obtained a full-scale investment of RMB1 million from the Hunan Provincial University Student Venture Capital Fund. The company stood out for its innovative practices in cyberspace information content security, especially its active exploration and market achievements in supporting cyberspace technology development for countries along the Belt and Road. This is the first university student entrepreneurship project at HUTB to receive the maximum support from this fund, fully reflecting the continuous improvement of the innovative and entrepreneurial capabilities of the university's teachers and students, as well as Hunan's firm determination to support young students in serving national strategies through scientific and technological strength.
Shufan Technology is a high-tech enterprise focusing on cyberspace information content security. It has built a complete product system integrating public opinion early warning and analysis, data sorting, content risk control, emergency-assisted decision-making, and online rumor detection and reporting. Its independently developed content risk control platform can deeply analyze multimodal information and accurately identify more than 20 types of problems, including common-sense errors, illegal and harmful information, misaligned value orientations, and historical nihilism, with an accuracy rate of over 95%, significantly higher than the industry average, thus building a solid technical barrier for online content governance.
With strong technical strength, Shufan Technology has rapidly realized product marketization and expanded both domestic and international markets simultaneously. Within less than a year since its establishment, its products have been adopted by provincial and municipal party and government organs, as well as enterprises and public institutions in education, transportation, and telecommunications, winning wide recognition from users. Meanwhile, relying on Hunan's profound economic and trade cooperation with Africa and the Middle East, and with the support of the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone Administrative Committee, the company settled in the China-Africa Economic and Trade Headquarters Building in the core area of Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone. Leveraging high-quality resources such as the Park's global technology empowerment center, Shufan Technology successfully entered the government and enterprise markets in the Middle East and Africa just over half a year after its founding, securing multiple overseas orders with a total contract value of over RMB3 million. This marks a new breakthrough for cyberspace technology achievements from Hunan universities going global, providing effective Chinese solutions for countries along the Belt and Road to build cyberspace governance systems suited to their national conditions.
Based on the university's integrated characteristics of new engineering courses and new business courses, the School of Digital Media Engineering and Humanities, the School of Computer Science, and the School of Digital Intelligence Innovation and Entrepreneurship have deeply integrated innovation and entrepreneurship education into the whole process of talent cultivation. By setting up special funds, forming interdisciplinary tutor teams, and connecting industrial resources, they provide full-cycle support for teams from technology research and development to achievement transformation. In the next stage, the university will continue to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, expand the breadth and depth of cooperation with governments and enterprises, actively connect with high-quality resources such as the Hunan Provincial University Student Venture Capital Fund, and provide more accurate and comprehensive support for teacher and student entrepreneurship teams.
