Leaders of School of Computer Science & Information Engineering Visit Freshmen Receiving Military Training

During the military training for freshmen, Party Secretary-General Yu Shaoqian andVice Party Secretary-General Ren Zhi of the School of Computer Science & Information Engineering came to the basketball court of the North Campus to visit the new students of the school and their instructors. The two leaders sent these hardworking students sincere care and encouragement.

 


Mr. Yu expressed his gratitude to the instructors for their “high-standard and strict training”. At each training phalanx he passed by, he asked the students about their training situations, physical conditions, and feelings. He fully recognized these freshmen’s hardworking in the military training. He hoped that through this training, students can master basic military theories and skills, strengthen their awareness of national defense and security, patriotism and collectivism, and cultivate the abilities of working hard and living independently.

 


Afterwards, Mr. Yu and Mr. Ren came to the Conference Room in the Library of the North Campus and held a symposium with 21 freshmen coming from families in need. On behalf of the school and the university, the two leaderssent these students blessings for the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. At the symposium, Mr. Yu said that the school will do what it can to help and support their study and life. Besides, the two leaders encouraged these students todevelop self-confidence and tough minds, study diligently, strive for excellence in all aspects, and contribute their youth and power to the development of their classes, the school and the university.

 

After the activity, the freshmen plunged into intense training again. This activity fully demonstrated the sincere concern for the freshmen from the leaders and teachers of the School of Computer Science & Information Engineering. The new students enrolled in 2020 expressed that they will complete the military training with more enthusiasm, get fully prepared for the future college life, and strive to be talents meeting the needs of the times.
