HUTB Holds National Information Literacy Competition for Students of Universities of Finance and Economics

On September 28, the 3rd“Leyan Cup” National Information Literacy Competition for Students of Universities of Finance and Economics in Hunan University of Technology and Business (HUTB), themed “information search, knowledge discovery and value creation”, came to a successful end in the Yingcai Lecture Hall, Library of the Main Campus.
This competition has lasted nearly one year since November 2019. Through three fierce rounds, namely, online question answering, report writing, and live demonstrations, the three students, Long Lin, Liang Hexuan, and Tan Xixuan,performed the best and won the first prize; the nine students including Deng Yujin, He Yuqing, Liu Junzi won the second prize; other nine students including Liu Meiye, Chen Yun, and Li Mengjun won the third prize.
Information literacy is a basic quality contemporary college students need to possess. Through this competition, the students have further mastered the knowledge on information literacy, improved their abilities to analyze realistic economic problems with multi-information, and fully demonstrated the good teamwork and morale of HUTB students.
