On June 11, HUTB’s Youth League Committee participated in co-organizing the online lecture of the Provincial Youth League Committee with the theme of “Great Learning of Youth”, and HUTB specially invited the Youth League members who received its pairing assistance and came from Hubei Business College to attend this online lecture.

This online lecture mainly consisted of two parts: “Anti-Epidemic Stories that Inspire the Youth” and “China’s 5G-based New Infrastructure at New Speed”. The five lecturers including Zeng Ren and Tu Li, head nurses working at the frontline of the epidemic prevention and control, and Xia Xu, Deputy Director of Standards of China Academy of Telecommunication Research, to deliver keynote speeches. Zeng Ren, Head Nurse of the Emergency Department of the First Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, Tu Li, nursing leader working for the inpatient ward of Dahuashan Temporary Treatment Center in Jiangxia District, Wuhan, and Hua Guang, a doctor working for this Temporary Treatment Center, shared their anti-epidemic stories where they overcome difficulties with high morale. Hu Jing, a young teacher, gave a speech themed at “Anti-epidemic Practices Highlight Significant Advantages of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics”, comprehensively analyzing why socialism has strong vitality and great advantages”. Xia Xu, Deputy Director of Standards of China Academy of Telecommunication Research, gave a cloud video speech, explaining 5G-related issues and analyzing the important role 5G played in the anti-epidemic process.

The Youth League members from HUTB and Hubei Business College actively attended this online league lecture and earnestly studied its guiding principles. After the lecture, students carefully wrote their reviews and fully demonstrated what they had learned. Wei Min from Finance Class 1702 said, “There’s no such thing as a peaceful world. We feel like so because someone take on the burdens.” Darkness is invisible, because it has been blocked out by the bravest people, some of which even create brightness with their precious lives; Gao Xiangyue from Tourism Management Class 1905, wrote, “Whether paid or unpaid, live or die, do the utmost to serve the country.” What a powerful, blood red oath! We believe that their determination and courage under this oath will bless China and shine like a torch breaking the haze and ushering in the light; “Pass on strength and light up the life. Dressed in isolation suits, you have the most upright body in the world, and wearing protective goggles, you show the most beautiful faces under the sun,” wrote Li Guimei, a student from Hubei Business College, in her review.
This activity guided the youth’s ideology with the practical deeds in epidemic prevention and control. This vivid network practice strengthened the cohesion and fighting capacity of primary Youth League organizations and encouraged and instructed Youth League members to devote themselves to where the Party and the people need them. Through this lecture, HUTB’s Youth League members have further strengthened their ideals and beliefs; the Youth League members have become determined to take the example of anti-epidemic heroes to pass on Chinese civilization and carry forward the Chinese spirit in the epidemic prevention and control; the Youth League members have made up their minds to contribute their youth to the society and the country in their own ways.
