Party Secretary Cao Yueliang of Zhuzhou Municipal Bureau of Justice and His Delegation Visited HUTB for Work Investigation

On the afternoon of May 20, Party SecretaryCao Yueliangand Deputy DirectorXiao Lijun of Zhuzhou Municipal Bureau of Justice and otherofficialsvisited our university for an legal consultancy investigation. HUTB officials attended the meeting, including Gan Dejian, member of the Party Committee and director of the United Front Work and Organization Department of the university;Dean Liu Qixiang, Party Secretary Hu Yanxiang, Deputy Dean Gong Zhijun and Deputy Party Secretary Yuan Lu ofthe School of Law and Public Administration. At Meeting Room 302, Office Building2, the meeting was presided over by Hu Yanxiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Law and Public Administration.
Director Gan Dejian expressed welcome to Secretary Cao Yueliang and his delegationand gave a brief introduction to HUTB’s causedevelopment, disciplinesconstruction and talents training in recent years. He thought that CPC Zhuzhou Municipal Committee and Zhuzhou Municipal Government responded positively to the call for “comprehensively promoting law-based governance”, dared to be the first in the law-based government construction,deepened the reform, and achieved good governance results. He said that the exchange and cooperation between HUTB and Zhuzhou Municipal Bureau of Justice will promote both sides’level of legal theory research and practical work.
Dean Liu Qixiang introduced the research results of the law majorin HUTB, the practical workachievements in the field of administrative law, the situation of offering relevant government legal consulting services, the local legislation led by the this college, and other related results. He said that legal theoretical research should be rooted in the soil of practice, combinetheory with practice, and effectively applymature theoretical research results to the social legal practice.
On behalf of Zhuzhou Municipal Bureau of Justice, Secretary Cao Yueliang expressed his gratitude to HUTBfor the reception. He gave a brief introduction to the legal consultancy work of Zhuzhou Municipal Bureau of Justice. He said that under the overall background of ruling the country according to law, Zhuzhou Municipal Bureau of Justice will earnestly implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, further broaden the exchange and cooperation with HUTB, firmly promote the law-based government construction with “rule of law”thinking and method, and accelerate the modernization of governance system and capability.(by Yan Xichen, School of Law and Public Administration)
