Our University Hosted the "Changfeng Cup" Big Data Analysis and Excavation Contest for College students in Hunan Province

On October 18, our university hosted the third "Changfeng Cup" Big Data Analysis and Excavation Contest for College students. The contest is sponsored by China Institute of Communications Education and Beijing Logis Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., and hosted by Hunan University of Technology and Business. It has received positive response and extensive participation from relevant colleges and universities in Hunan Province. Su Zhaohe, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Logis Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., Wang Yongwu, Manager of Hunan Apower Logistics Co., Ltd., Liu Qun, General Manager of Changsha Hengguang Logistics Co., Ltd., Xu Shu, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of our university, and Zhou Xinmin, Dean of the School of Computer and Information Engineering, attended the contset.

The contest was divided into three parts: signing-in, on-the-spot defense and awarding, and nine teams were selected to enter the provincial finals through the preliminary competition. The theme of the contest was put forward according to the practical problems reflected by the real data of enterprises, and aimed to build a bridge for universities and enterprises through the contest, so that college teachers and students can give full play to their professional ability to solve the practical problems faced by enterprises at present. The contest topics are divided into logistics, e-commerce, transportation and other aspects. The technical support of this competition is Changfeng Network and Changfeng big data platform, which provides multi-dimensional data analysis, data mining and data visualization tools to help contestants complete their works conveniently and efficiently.

During the contest, each team presented the research report and results, and the judges listened attentively and put forward constructive suggestions for them. In the end, the teams from Changsha University, Hunan University of Technology and Business, Hunan University of Finance and Economics, Changsha Commerce and Tourism College, and Hunan Urban Professional College won the Special Award, the First Prize and the Second Prize respectively.
Through this contest, the talent training of big data in relevant colleges and universities has been effectively promoted, and the enthusiasm of students to combine professional knowledge with social hotspots and theory with practice has been inspired. It has improved students' interest and application ability in data analysis and mining, promoted the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into realistic productive forces, stimulated students' spirit of exploration, enhanced the practical ability of data analysis and mining in colleges and universities, and improved the professional level of the discipline.
