[Special Topic of Volunteer Activities for the Country People] Students of Our University Went to Sanjia Township and Fukou Town of Lianyuan City to Investigate Technology-oriented Poverty Alleviation

During Jul. 20-22, under the guidance of Mr. Yang Xinsheng, the research team of "technology-oriented poverty alleviation in Lianyuan" of School of Law and Public Management of our university rushed to Xinyufeng Village and Caixi Village of Sanjia Township as Well as Hujiaping Village and Meiwan Village of Fukou Town, Lianyuan City for research based on the subject of "Research on Innovative Practice and Sustainable Development of Industrial Poverty Alleviation Model in the Context of Targeted Poverty Alleviation - Implementation of the System of Scientific Special Commissioners in Lianyuan, Hunan Province".
On Jul. 21, the team members visited Xinyufeng Village, a centralized producing area of "top three" grapes. The village has a vineyard base with the area of one thousand mu, and the grape planting is the main industry for poverty alleviation. The research team distributed questionnaires along the way, and visited the Grape Association of Sanjia Township, Runfeng Professional Cooperative, Liuxiang Grape Planting Professional Cooperative and farmer's vineyards, etc. to learn about the development of grape industry and the technical services of the scientific special commissioners in the village. Many farmers hoped that the scientific special commissioners could provide more support and services in terms of technical training, practical seed selection guidance and sales services, etc.
On Jul. 22, the research team members came to Fukou Town for investigation. Wu Li, Secretary of the Party Committee and Government Office of Fukou Town Government, introduced to us the specific situation of industrial poverty alleviation of Fukou Town, the work of scientific special commissioners in the village and the specific situation before and after the poverty alleviation. The research team members also visited Hujiaping Village and Meiwan Village, and presided over a symposium on promoting the industrial development attended by the work team, Village Party Branch and Village Committee, and scientific special commissioners in the village. Mr. Yang Xinsheng made suggestions on how to make full use of the local human and material resources and various external resources of Hujiaping Village, build strong village cadre teams and scientific and technological service teams, build brand, upgrade products and carry out the three-dimensional development, etc. in the symposium. The team members also visited the monument of Mao Zedong social investigation in Hujiaping Village, Fukou Town, and deeply realized the principle that "experience is the best teacher".
