Our University Made Great Achievements in the First University Student Balloon Volleyball Competition in Hunan Province

During Jun. 1-2, Hunan University Student Balloon Volleyball Competition hosted by Hunan Student Sports Association was held in Hunan Normal University. This competition is the first Hunan university balloon volleyball competition, aiming to further promote the development of Sunshine Sports in Hunan colleges and universities. This competition implements the single cycle system and the grouping cross knock-out system. It is divided into 10 groups, including the university men's and women's high-level group and the university men's and women's sunshine group, with about 500 athletes participating. The women's volleyball team of our university participated in the provincial competition for the first time, and won the fifth place in the university women's sunshine group after competing with Hunan Normal University, University Of South China, Xiangtan University and other universities.

Since receiving the notice of the competition, our university has attached great importance to the selection and establishment of HNUC representative team composed of Mr. Zhou Dijian as the chief coach, Dong Wenyue, Tao Jing, Liu Ying, Yuan Xiaoxiao, Ouyang Yuan, Mo Shouqing, Zhu Zhiruo and Yang Haiyan, and they started the serious and scientific systematic training rapidly. The team members strictly follow the training plan, overcome difficulties and train hard during the period. The representative team of our university is not afraid of the powerful enemy and dares to play and fight, demonstrating the HNUC spirit of striving for the first on the field. The excellent results achieved in the competition are also the embodiment of our high attention to sports, and efforts to improve the comprehensive quality of students, and to promote Sunshine Sports.
