Law School: The Lawyer He Junfeng’s Lecture in the 50th “HNUC Lushan Forum of Alumni and Entrepreneur”

On the evening of June 6, the 50th “HNUC Lushan Forum of Alumni and Entrepreneur” was held in F101 Moot Court of Lezhi Building. For this lecture the host invited the lawyer He Junfeng, 2006-grade graduate of the Law School, the deputy director of Young Lawyers’ Committee of Changsha Bar Association, and the initiator of the China Volunteers Union for Belief in the Rule of Law, to give a lecture on the “belief in the rule of law”. Professor Liu Qixiang, the Secretary of CPC General Branch of Law School; Yuan Lu, the director of Student Affairs Office, and more than 100 students of Law School attended this lecture.
First of all, the lawyer He Junfeng pointed out that as a lawyer she or he shall take the rule of law as the belief. He expounded the current situation of rule of law in China, and profoundly revealed the severe test which the belief in the rule of law in China currently faced in combination with Lei Yang event. He said that the law must be believed in, or it will exist in name only. Meanwhile, he also called on that legal workers shall take the maintenance of the citizens’ basic rights and stabilization of social city order as their own duty and protect their own dignity with the own personality charm.
Then, lawyer He Junfeng made the detailed introduction to the gist of the rule of law, definition of law, and method of creating value with rule of law taking the main line of “how to make the rule of law become the belief” and in combination with his own legal working experience. He emphasized that everyone shall harbor the belief in the rule of law and pursue the realm that the highest good is like water together, and each soul holding the belief shall be linked together.
Finally, the students made the more in-depth communication with lawyer He Junfeng, and He Junfeng encouraged the students to become the practitioner of the belief in the rule of law and contribute their strength to the progress of rule of law in China. (Law School, Qin Lianchun and Liu Longteng)
