The Young Volunteers Association of School of Finance came to Changsha Huiling Service Center for Mentally Disabled People and carried out a public assistance activity on the afternoon of April 12, spending a joyful and meaningful time in accompanying those mentally disabled people under recovering training exercises in the center. Changsha Huiling Service Center for Mentally Disabled People is the first non-profit public welfare special education institution. Since 2015, the Young Volunteers Association of Finance School has reached an agreement with the agency to provide voluntary services regularly

During this activity, volunteers clean walls and tidy training and learning classroom with the trainees who also maintain the order to ensure the work to proceed, creating warm and lively atmosphere. Volunteers make many beautiful handicrafts together with them, which involve love of every participant. Their serious attitude, preoccupied look, and careful acts towards every handicraft at hand leave volunteers deep impressions. They also paint different umbrellas together, filling them with splendid colors.

In the hustle and bustle there lives such a special group of people. Although they stumble on the way and can’t live in the world like normal people, they love life in the same way, with dreams specific to them. “This is my first time to be here working with these special people. Some of them are even older than me. Although life is very unfair to them, they are still self-confident and hopeful for life.
