Exchanging Books to Warm March

To conduct Lei Feng’s spirit, the Youth Volunteers Association of Statistics School held an activity called“Exchanging books with books to enrich yourselves and ourselves” together with School of Finance, School of Accounting, School of Literature and Journalism, Self-government Association and School of Art and Design. The activity aimed at promoting the recycling of books and circulation of spiritual wealth, helping others by using resources efficiently and realizing optimized use of resources.

Before being exhibited on Yingcai Square, the books were first collected and classified from dorm to dorm by the student cadres.  During the exchanging period, the Square was in hustle and bustle, filled with sounds of page turning, communication of reading experiences or inquiry for more information. In this electronic journals prevailing era, we can assure that the paper books carrying history and spreading civilization will never be forgotten and out of date. The volunteers, as ambassadors of spreading culture, were busy but happy. They made contributions quietly by sacrificing their rest time, from the initial plans, propagandas to classification. After the exhibition, the activity “Exchanging books with books” came to an end. The volunteers packaged the rest books to donate them to charitable organizations. The activity that lasted half a month ended.

The large scale activity of exchanging books not only promotes cyclic use of resources, but also helps those book lovers who want to change their fates through books. March is the days for grasses to grow and for birds to fly, while the beauty of life spread to the world with the relay of love.
