Peng Qianfang, Graduate Student Tutor from Fudan University Gave Lecture in Law School

On the evening of 5th April, Peng Qianfang, graduate student tutor from Fudan University gave lecture in Law School. He explained laws with cases and provided a detailed introduction to applying Insurance Law to the field of contract. Yang Zhengrong, the dean of Law School, Zeng Xing, deputy dean and LiuQixiang, general secretary of Party Branch as well as almost one hundred students attended the lecture.

Professor Peng pointed out the core of Insurance Law was the insurance contract and we could not apply it to our daily life and provide convenience for ourselves unless we knew well about the setting, establishment and ending of the insurance contract. Then professor Peng talked about the common problems and disputes in the process of conducting the contract with “one problem, one law and one case”. He emphasized that the first step to set up a contract was to distinguish the meaning of “offer” and “offer invitation”; relevant laws should be strictly followed in the process. At last, professor Peng asked impromptu questions to check learning effect. The students answered actively and got directions and praises from professor Peng.

This lecture broadens the students’ horizon and deepens their understanding of applying Insurance Law to daily life. It arouses students’ interest to the study of Contract Law at the same time. (Qin Lianchun, Liu Longteng from Law School)
