President Chen Xiaohong Made Theme Report in China Information Economics Society Conference

Recently,2015 China’s Forum for Outstanding Scholars, held by China Information Economics Society and organized by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunication, was held in Beijing. Professor Wu Jiapei, founder of China’s quantitative economics and information economics, and Professor Chen Xiaohong, president of Hunan University of Commerce were both invited to make theme reports in the forum. Attendees involved over 200 teachers and students from higher institutions at home and abroad. Professor Chen made her theme report “Research on Unascertained Decision Making Theory and Its Application in Complicated Environment.”

Professor Chen introduced the accomplishment of this project, the innovative achievements of the last few years, and the researches planned for the future. Attendees spoke highly of practical and theoretical achievements made by team led by Professor Chen Xiaohong in building the two-oriented society. They also discussed and exchanged views the diverse and innovative experience of Chen’s accomplishment in her interdisciplinary studies. After the conference, Professor Xie Kang, general-director of China Information Economics Society, awarded the memorial prize of “China’s Outstanding Scholar” to Professor Chen.

China Information Economics Society(CIES,www.cies.org.cn), founded in 1989, is a national level academic study society registered at National Ministry of Civil Affairs, which focuses on facilitating practical and theoretical development in China’s information economics. The society’s purposes is uniting all members, adhering to the four basic disciplines and the policy of letting a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend, conducting study and research on information economics, organizing academic exchanges of China and other countries’ information economics, promoting the level of China information economics and management, launching information consultation service, pressing ahead with the development of China’s information industry, giving impetus to China’s social and economic information, serving the socialist modernization drive.
