Prof. Liu Siwei Gave Lecture on New Market Outlook and Economy Phase

On the evening of Nov. 19, Liu Siwei, the director of School Academic Committee, dean of School of Economical and Trade Development Research, doctoral supervisor gave an academic lecture themed with One Belt and One Road, the New Strategic Market Outlook and New Phase of Open Economy for teachers and students from the School of Economy and Trade. The event was hosted by Luo Shuanglin, the deputy dean of the school and students from the Postgraduate School and the School of Economy and Trade attended the event.

  

Prof. Liu started with the retrospect of the bringing out of "One Belt and One Road" strategy and then concluded the four emerging markets, i.e. the integration of continents, the integration of continent and ocean, the integration of internet and reality and the market outlook of integrated development with multi-elements. He also analyzed the necessity of the new strategic market outlook of "One Belt and One Road" and at the mean time, emphasizes that China should build an integrated economical market with Europe, Asian and African countries. China should also actively fulfill the obligation as a major country and make overall plans for domestic and international markets. His speech used vivid and witty examples from ancient to modern times, at home and abroad, from macroscopic to microscopic views, giving the audiences a lot innovative thoughts and reflections as well as winning blasts of applauses.

In the question section, the students asked a lot questions such as commercial theories with industries, the applicability of economical base and superstructure and so on. Prof. Liu gave the students incisive answers respectively. ( by Zeng Lei and Huang Wenli, School of Economy and Trade)
