School of Finance Opened Course Teaching Seminar

On Dec 8, a course teaching seminar was held by the School of Finance. The deputy secretary Gao Junjie hosted the seminar and school leaders, teachers from all departments, people working on administrative posts and people from the Office of Students Affairs attended.
Representatives made speeches on the meeting. Wen Guirong from the Department of Financial Politics elaborated the facts of low class attendance, smart phone addictions and violation against examination disciplines; Wang Ren from the Department of Insurance discussed the method of setting up positive study style by guiding from details with her own teaching experience; Chen Xiuqian from the Department of Finance proposed that teachers should keep pace with the time and advocate the combination of internet and teaching as well as teachers should be responsible for students and have the basic professional morality and consciousness; Peng Tao from the Office of Teaching affairs expressed his idea on the problems and solutions during classes and exams. According to the existing problems in course teaching, Cao Qiuju, the deputy dean of the school, pointed out that we need to strengthen the awareness of being the host teacher, perfect the teaching administrative structure, further complete the teaching and administrative mechanism, focus on the detailed information during classes, actively organize teaching research and reform activities and reform the assessment method. Yan Wei, the deputy dean, also expressed his opinion from aspects of the designing of teaching syllabus, enlightening of teaching, discussion in classes and assigning homework.
Gao Junjie, the party vice secretary of the School of Finance gave suggestions of careful preparation before class and improve checking-in method, basing on the speeches of representative teachers.
