Lecture from Professor Zhang Hong on the Building of Shanghai Free Trade Zone

On the evening of December 2nd, Dr. Zhang Hong, professor and academic adviser for postgraduates of Shanghai International Business and Economics, was invited to give his lecture to teachers and students of School of Economy and Trade in room F201 of Le Zhi Building. Luo Shuanglin, deputy dean of the school, presided over the lecture.
Professor Zhang Hong first introduced the concept of “Free Trade Zone”, and then focused on explaining the strategic meaning and reality significance for building the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. He vividly quoted the core and bottleneck of BIT (Bilateral Investment Treaty), pointing out that negative list serves as the most essential part of the negotiation of BIT. Besides, Zhang also put forward his thinking on the building of Shanghai Free Tree Zone.
Previously, School of Economy and Trade has convened the seminar, hosted by deputy dean Luo Shuanglin, on the disciplinary building of world economy and international economy and trade. Professor Zhang Hong, director of graduate department of Shanghai International Business and Economics, was invited to introduce the development situations of his school’s international trade major, graduate education of international business, and international economy and trade major, discussing the supporting policies and problems of each others’ disciplinary and major development with our school.
