School of Computer and Information Engineering Held Mobilization Meeting to Advocate Honesty in Exam and Announced Student Party Members’ Slogan

In the afternoon of June 23th, a meeting to advocate honesty in exam and announce student Party members’ slogan was held by School of Computer and Information Engineering according to this year’s general deployment to create a positive learning atmosphere in our university. Present in the meeting were Liu Niansheng, standing director of Next Generation Concerning Committee of the university, Yi Yumei, deputy secretary of general Party branch in School of Computer and Information Engineering, deputy dean Xiong Shuchu, tutors, headteachers, all student party members, monitors and secretary of Youth League Committee.
In the first section of this meeting, deputy dean Xiong pointed out serious consequence brought by dishonesty in exam with two vivid examples. The arrival of “Big Data” age required college students to be honest both in exam and in life. To show what one really learned was an inseparable part of mutual learning and teaching. He hoped that students present could play an pioneering role in motivating everyone in the school to be honest. Software Class 1401 was announced to be the first model class with no supervision in exam. Relevant process and requirement, new measures to place each student in a fixed seat in exam were also announced in order to avoid random scribble as well as whispering in exam.
In the second section, standing director Liu Niansheng formally announced student party members’ slogan “To study diligently, to devote delightedly, to assume responsibility bravely” and introduced the whole process of collecting, discussing and approving the slogan in detail. He said the slogan was encouraging, practical and to the point. This practice was a natural result of situation in and out of the Party, and it was also responsibility required for student Party members. It was hoped that this slogan could help in building a better campus. Afterwards, all the Party members made solemn declaration to carry out the slogan and create a positive learning atmosphere, to make their own contribution in the university’s project of “Three Promotions, Three Prosperity”.
At last, deputy Party secretary Yi analyzed the urgency and difficulties in creating a positive learning atmosphere under the background of deepening reform domestically and the “Three Three” project in the university. Teachers and students needed to be determined and make painstaking effort. Student Party members should be aware of discipline, bravely assume responsibility in practice and play leading roles in promoting the school as well as its project to cultivate qualified students.
