Criminal Tribunal of the People's Court in Yuhua District, Changsha Opened a Court Session in Our University

Recently, at our university’s invitation, the People's Court of Hunan Province in Yuhua district, Changsha city opened a court session to hear the case of the college students’ involvement in drug trafficking in F101 of the third teaching building. The Court leaders of Yuhua district as well as over a hundred of teachers and students attended it.

The drug trafficking case of two people was heard in public. One defendant, a college student, was authorized by the other defendant to deliver 5g K powder, but was captured by the police in the process. The case performed a simple procedure, enabled the people's assessors and pronounced judgment in court. The two defendants were sentenced to receive penalty and fine respectively.

To bring court into the campus is of great significance to implement a national law, and is a vivid lesson of legal system. (Law School, Wang Rui)
