Law School from Our University Showed Wonderful Performance in “Rights Protection Cup” Competition of Intellectual Property Rights in Hunan Province

In the morning of May 17th, “Rights Protection Cup ”--- an intellectual property match started in Central South University in Hunan Province. This competition was sponsored by the Intellectual Property Office of Hunan province and the Department of Education of Hunan province, and was jointly organized by Hunan Intellectual Property Rights Protection Assistance Center, Hunan Intellectual Property Rights Association, Hunan Intellectual Property Office Youth Committee, Law School of Central South University, Intellectual Property Rights Institute of Central South University,  Hunan Intellectual Property Rights Protection Volunteers Union. Present in the competition were more than 20 university teams such as Hunan University, Central South University, National University of Defense Technology, Xiangtan University, Hunan University of Commerce, etc.

The competition was divided into three rounds, and the total score was set at one hundred points. All questions were related to intellectual property rights. Scores was determined according to required questions, alternative questions, challenging questions. If two or more teams had equal points, their placing would be determined by added questions.

The competition not only tested students’ relevant knowledge, but also students’ life experience and immediate response to reality . Headed by teacher Tan Qingkang, members of our Law School team Liu Qi, Huang Haiyan, Wang Chuyu, Chen Tiantian were calm and cooperated with each very well. After fierce competition, with their final grades 200 points the team ranked the 4th, and obtained Outstanding Organization Award.(Wang Rui from Law School)
