The Semifinal of Creative Exhibition Competition of Anti-Japanese War Paintings and Calligraphy by Renowned Artists Was Held Successfully by School of Exhibition

For the 70th anniversary of the victory in Anti-Japanese War, Creative Exhibition Competition of Anti-Japanese Paintings and Calligraphy by Renowned Artists was jointly sponsored by School of Tourism Management in Hunan University of Commerce and Hunan Jinzhou Cultural and Art Company, with the theme “In Memory of the Victory in Anti-Japanese War, Feeling the Sentiments of the Master, Promoting the Cooperation between School and Enterprise as well as Creating Hunan Army of Exhibition”. This activity was held by Department of Exhibition Economy and Management in School of Tourism Management with the support from College Students' Association of Exhibition.
After two months’ preparation, organization, and promotion, more than 300 students from each department participated in the preliminary contest. After careful selection, 26 creative teams took part in the semifinal, and they were led by Li Shaojun, major of Chinese Edit, Chen Tianxin, major of Advertisement, Xiao Zhineng, major of Cultural Industry , and Hu Mengli, Xiang Yuancui, Feng Xueshuang, Tian Shuhao, Deng Xiahui, Kang Xingfu, Li Xiaodong, Zeng Qiongyan, Luo Shuyun, Su Wenjie, Li Pingfang, Liao Chen, Chu Lu, Tang Yong, Wen Hong, He Jiaqi and Cao Han as majors of Exhibition in southern campus as well as Wan Shuzhen, Liu Like, Nie Qian, Yuan Shuaijing, Li Jing and Wen Jingqiang from Department of Exhibition in Beijin campus respectively.
In the afternoon of May 12th , the semifinal was ceremoniously held in Room F302 and F303 of the Third Teaching Building. Judges were president of Hunan Radio and TV University, professor Jiang Xiangdong, teacher Zeng Yan from Teaching Affairs Division of our university and teachers Wang Peiliang and Wang Xianghui from Department of Exhibition Economy and Management. 26 teams were divided into two groups and made roadshow in turn to explain their own creative work. After an excellent competition, ten creative teams led by Liu Like from Exhibition Class 1221, Feng Xueshuang, Deng Xiahui, Luo Shuyun, Li Pingfang, Liao Chen, Tang Yong and Wen Hong from Exhibition Class 1201 and Kang Xingfu and Cao Han from Exhibition Class 1301 stood out for the final to be held in moot court on May 17th and would run for the big prize of 7000 yuan.
President Xu Xiangdong highly appraised the reform and practice of creative exhibition talents training mode of our university, fully affirmed the excellent performance of competitors and carefully guided qualified competitors. Teachers and students were greatly encouraged and benefited a lot.
