Marketing Competition Was Held by School of Business Administration

In the past few days, the final Marketing Competition entitled with two companies’ name “Ledao” and “Xiguanjia” sponsored by Hunan Marketing Society, organized by School of Business Administration as well as Teaching Affairs Division of our university was held in the multi-functional lecture hall.
Kuang Yumei, Party secretary in School of Business Administration, and deputy secretary Xiao Jingsong were present. Xiao Sanshu, general architect of Chinese Community was invited representative of enterprises. Judges were Zhang Guihua, secretary general of Hunan Marketing Association, Jiang Shuguang, deputy director of Teaching Affairs Division, Lin Daobo, deputy dean in School of Business Administration, Yin Yuanyuan, head of Marketing Department, Xiao Wenjin, teacher in School of Business Administration, Xiongtao, marketing director of Hunan Xiguanjia Community Service Co. Ltd. , Li Hangxu, marketing director of Hunan Ledao Tea-Leaf Co. Ltd., and Li Jie, founder of “I am the Expert in Cake Innovative Business ”.
The theme of the final was the marketing plan of Ledao tea-leaf, and promoting Xiguanjia community service platform. There were presentation and question-and-answer session and 9 teams participated. They were innovative in making marketing plans through the online platform such as WeChat, Weibo, official websites.
The creative idea of“ Establishing Membership System”put forward by “Tipping Point” group gained much attention by the judges and got champion with 89.00 points in this semifinal.
It was said that the final competition would be held multi-functional lecture hall of our university at 10:00 in the morning on May 19th.
Scoring of the final competition would be based on the scene performance and prepared report with each accounting for 50 points in the total 100 points. The written report would be evaluated from its content, logic, package and the overall impression,while the scene performance from appearance and mental outlook, demonstration and explanation, team collaboration and answers to the questions. The students with the highest score would win the first prize ($10000); the next two the second prize ($3000); the ones that ranked fourth, fifth and sixth would win the third prize ($2000).Two teams would be granted for the Best Creativity Awards and another two for Best Demonstration Awards($1000). All the teams in the final would represent the best of each department.
The aim of this competition was to deepen the education requirement “oriented by ability and career development” raised by Education Ministry, to establish practical teaching mode of marketing, to help learning with competition, to reform marketing course system and contents in colleges and universities, to guide and cultivate students’ abilities of innovation, planning and adaptability, to enhance and promote students' teamwork, initiative and the ability to get employed or to start a career.
