HUTB Hosts the “Tianzhi Cup” 8th Hunan Postgraduate MPAcc Enterprise Case Competition

From September 16 to 17, the “Tianzhi Cup” 8th Hunan Postgraduate MPAcc Enterprise Case Competition was held at HUTB. This event was organized by the Department of Education of Hunan Province, guided by the Hunan Provincial Accounting Discipline Professional Alliance, and co-hosted by the Hunan branch of Baker Tilly China.

The competition, with the theme of "Financial System Empowering Technological Innovation," saw participation from 48 teams representing 13 universities in the province. After the preliminary round, 29 teams advanced to the next stage through head-to-head matchups, and ultimately, 8 teams made it to the finals. After intense competition, 7 teams, including those from Central South University, Hunan Normal University, Hunan University of Science and Technology, and Hunan University of Technology and Business, were awarded first prizes. Additionally, 10 teams, such as those from Xiangtan University, Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Hunan Agricultural University, and Changsha University of Science and Technology, received second prizes. Furthermore, 12 teams, including those from Jishou University, Hunan University of Technology, University of South China, and Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, were honored with third prizes.

The industry highly commended the meticulous organization and coordination work carried out by the School of Accounting. The accounting departments of universities across the province have taken the opportunity presented by the results of this competition to actively expand both the depth and breadth of cooperation with government agencies, research institutions, leading enterprises, and various sectors. They are scientifically constructing a "Digital Accounting" collaborative education platform that integrates science and education, industry and education, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. This is aimed at accelerating scientific research, discipline development, and collaborative exchange, with the overall goal of enhancing the level of high-level research-oriented management accounting talent development.
