Riding the Autumn Breeze, Running Wild! The university holds the first "Jinsuo Lake Cup" campus running competition

Development of sports leads to a strong China, and a thriving nation promotes the development of sports. To further advance the construction of a leading sports nation and a healthy China, and to enrich the campus cultural life of students, the university held the inaugural "Jinsuo Lake Cup" campus running competition on the afternoon of September 26, 2023, at the North Campus. This competition was hosted by the HUTB Committee for Sports and Health Promotion.

Before the competition, all student athletes were led by teachers from the School of Sports and Health to perform warm-up exercises, stretching their muscles and getting fully warmed up.

In his address, Xiao Xiaoqin, Executive Vice Director of the HUTB Committee for Sports and Health Promotion, pointed out that running is not just an individual sport but also a manifestation of unity, collaboration, and unwavering perseverance. He hopes that the students, through every running, will feel the profound connection between their bodies and minds, strengthen their physical fitness, and cultivate good life habits. Subsequently, Secretary-General Kuang Yumei announced the opening of the first "Jinsuo Lake Cup" campus running competition.

As the starting pistol echoed, the competitors took off with great enthusiasm, gradually creating some distance between them. Running swiftly became a picturesque scene on the campus, with the vibrancy of youth vividly apparent on the track. In the final sprint phase of the race, the participants tapped into their potential, igniting the track with passion and chasing their dreams with incredible speed. After intense competition, the School of Sports and Health and the School of Science both secured the joint first place in the team total score. The School of Intelligent Engineering and Intelligent Manufacturing and the School of Public Administration and Human Geography came in second and third place, respectively. Fourth to eighth places were claimed by the School of Finance, the School of Economy & Trade, the School of Computer Science, the School of Resource and Environment, and the School of Business Administration.

After the competition, Deputy Director Xiao Xiaoqin, Secretary-General Kuang Yumei, and Deputy Secretary-General Li Zhiwei presented awards to the winning representatives.

With this, the HUTB 2023 inaugural "Jinsuo Lake Cup" campus running competition came to a successful conclusion. In this campus running event, the athletes demonstrated their spirits of perseverance and determination, further promoting the development of “Sports HUTB”.
